What is Hoop Session?

Hoop Session is a basketball-themed, end-of-summer, celebration for Literacy Playground students in grades 1 – 5. Hoop Session goals:

• Inspire independent reading and set reading goals
• Provide student books for their personal libraries
• Create a day of fun for central Arkansas kids!

Your Community Impact:

• Empowers literacy education programming and prevents the “summer slide” for 220+ children from Pulaski County
• Provides 1300+ books for summer students’ home libraries
• Supports year-round school tutoring for 600+ children at 32 central Arkansas partner schools and after-school programs
• Mobilizes over 200 tutors who provide 2,000 hours of combined student support
