Register a Student
We. Read. Together.
We pair 1st through 5th grade students reading six months to one year below grade level with trained volunteer tutors. In-school tutors meet one-on-one with two students once a week for 30 minutes each at our designated collaborator schools (click our tutor resources tab for our schools). Our virtual and out-of-school program tutors work with one student once a week for 40 minutes.

To register your student for virtual tutoring, please click here. Please note that registering does not immediately guarantee a tutor but does place your child on our list for consideration and if not placed, allows them to remain on our waitlist for the next term. Students must: a) Reside in the state of Arkansas b) read 6 months to 1 year below grade level. Preference will be given to: a) students identified by our collaborator schools and nonprofit after school programs b) students living in Little Rock due to our partnership with the city of Little Rock c) students receiving free and/or reduced lunch.
Interested in registering your child for in-person tutoring?
We are grateful for your interest. For in-school tutoring, your school must be an AKR collaborator school: click here to check.
If so, please speak to your school’s lead literacy interventionist for details. We also serve students in after school programs provided by Carver Elementary School, Life Skills for Youth, and Tendaji CDC. Speak to their program coordinators for details.
