NEW AR Kids Read Summer Volunteer Opportunities

Help bring stories to life this summer!

Would you like to help a group of 2nd graders design and create their own soccer jerseys like Pele in Pele, King of Soccer? Would you like to watch the face of a third grader as he creates his very own invention like Rosie in Rosie Revere, Engineer? Do you have an hour per week to spare?

What is Read for Success?

AR Kids Read will be hosting Read for Success summer camps at three Boys and Girls Clubs and Life Skills for Youth in Little Rock and North Little Rock. The Read for Success summer program utilizes a certified teacher at each location to conduct a 30 minute read aloud followed by 30 minutes of activity time based on a set of multicultural STEAM books.

We need YOU!

AR Kids Read is seeking creative, passionate Summer Activities Assistants to inspire students to not only read but bring stories to life with related engaging activities.

Volunteers will help set up and supervise activities, assist the facilitator with small groups, and assist with classroom management during the large group read aloud.

When?

The program runs from June 13th to July 27th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 10:00 am and 10:15 am to 11:15 am. Each volunteer will only be asked to give an hour of their time a week. You can select your hour time slot below!
