AR Kids Read is pleased to welcome Khayyam M. Eddings to its board. Eddings has a passion for
education and helping at risk children.
Executive Director of AR Kids Read, Charlie Conklin, said he was very excited to begin working
with Eddings. “Khayyam is a proven leader in our community with a passion for education; we
look forward to seeing the ideas that he will bring to the table,” Conklin said.
Eddings is a lawyer with the Friday, Eldredge, & Clark law firm. He is a partner in the labor and
employment litigation section of the company, and he also represents several Arkansas school
districts in regards to constitutional matters as well as a number of other issues.
He also serves on the board of Advocates for Children and Families.
AR Kids Read selected Eddings as its newest board member after a vacancy was created by the
departure of Dr. Fitz Hill, President of Arkansas Baptist College.
Conklin said that although Hill is no longer a part of the board, the organization looks forward to
working with him in other capacities in the future.
“We want to thank Fitz for his support and will continue to call upon him as his leadership and advocacy
help launch AR Kids Read,” he said.
